Elegance on tiptoes

The special soils of the Preyhof and the high temperature difference between day and night lend our Pinot Bianco its elegance and balance.

Of a pale yellow colour with slightly greenish reflexes, the wine has aromas of fresh hazelnuts, ripe apples, citrus fruits, elder blossoms and pineapple. Full, clean and fresh on the palate, it has a well-integrated acidity, a pleasant mellowness and a good length.

Our Pinot Bianco pairs very well with fine fish dishes, seafood, light pasta dishes with fish or cream sauces as well as vegetable dishes.

Tasting notes:



Pale yellow colour with light greenish reflexes.



Seductive, fresh aroma reminiscent of citrus, fresh hazelnuts and ripe apples with underlying notes of elderflower and pineapple.



The “Prey” is clean and fresh on the palate, with a well-balanced acidity, pleasant structure and lingering finish in the mouth.

Grape variety: 100% Pinot Bianco - various clones

Terroir: Kaltern - Preyhof: 550 m above sea level. Located in the Kaltern - Mitterdorf area. Sandy limestone soil with porphyry gravel and Gardena sandstone.

Training system: Guyot

Yield per vine: 1.4 kg - 60 hl/ha

Production process: Low-temperature clarification and subsequent controlled cool fermentation at 15-18°C.

Aging: The main part is aged in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees for 4 months, while a smaller part (5%) is fermented and stored in barrique casks.
