Sauvignon Blanc

Bright straw yellow, aromas of elderberry and gooseberry, with typical vegetal notes, zesty acidity, and a powerful finish.
Leisenpuiten is an old enclosed vineyard in the middle of Kaltern where downslope winds deliver cool air from the mountains in the evening. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes mature here to produce a wine with a pronounced fruit bouquet of elderflower, gooseberry, and ripe yellow peach. The palate is aromatic and has a crisp, fresh acidity. The finish is long.
Manual harvesting and selection of the grapes. Gentle pressing and pre-clarification by sedimentation. Fermentation under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with subsequent ageing on the fine lees.
